The Frames is an amazing place to base yourself for exploring the Riverland, sometimes it’s hard to leave the comfort and luxury of our riverside villas, but we encourage you to experience our culture. This is what we recommend you do with your valuable but possibly short time in the Riverland and hopefully it’s enough to tempt you back.
Day 1 Travel to The Frames, Paringa
3pm be welcomed to The Frames and settle into your comfortable riverside retreat. Sip local beverages while relaxing on the balcony overlooking the Murray River. Watch the sun dip below the horizon as you enjoy a local produce platter.
6:30pm with a range of in-villa dining options, dining at the Frames is an experience itself. Choose to prepare a Gourmet BBQ using your outdoor kitchen or have our chef prepare a three course meal in your kitchen. The menu choices are endless and of course, local produce is the theme of the dishes.
10pm relax into your luxurious king sized bed with electric tilt functions and massage option, leave the curtains open to be greeted by a warm sunrise, or have them closed to capture a sleep in that always evades us during daily life.
Day 2 Taste Riverland food, wine and spirits
8.30am Wake up with a morning swim in the heated outdoor pool followed by a cooked breakfast on the balcony or beside the pool. Full breakfast provisions are provided from local eggs and bacon, fresh fruit, crusty bread and locally made condiments. Locally roasted Arrosto Coffee is also available along with essential coffee making equipment.
9.30am Begin exploring our unique nature by foot or with our power assisted bikes. Glide through the quiet bush of nearby Paringa Paddock wetlands. Cruise over the historic Paringa Bridge and into Renmark for a coffee and view the PS Industry moored on the riverfront.
11am it’s time to begin tasting the Riverland. Make your first stop at AlmondCo Almond Hut to stock up on every flavoured almond you can think of. If you enjoy baking, the Hut also stocks almond meal and 100% Australian Almond Milk!

11:30am taste award winning wines among the vines at 919 Wines cellar door in Glossop. 919 Wines produce a great range of organic wines that reflect the Riverland climate, soil and lifestyle. Their Mediterranean varieties are produced completely onsite and have chat with the winemakers to learn more about the passion and vision behind the label while you are there.
Guests of the Frames that select two white wines and three red wines from the 919 portfolio, will receive a complimentary fortified wine and two wine glasses
12:30pm it’s that time of the day where bellies begin to rumble and we recommend you head to River Jack’s Café on the banks of the Murray in Berri to satisfy our tastebuds! Homemade goodness lives here with a range of Greek and Australian lunches utilising local ingredients. Vegan and natural sweets are on the menu as are traditional Greek delicacies such as Baklava. Sip on great coffee and soak up the view of the Murray River.
2pm the adventure doesn’t stop with a tour and tasting at 23rd St Distillery in Renmark. The newly opened facility has brought new life to a Riverland icon, the Renmano Winery. A tour of the still house shares the stories of past and present. Enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, our favourite is the Gin Martini.

5pm Sunsets in the Riverland rival those of Santorini in Greece. Your balcony is one great vantage point and another is from the comfort of our fully restored 100 year old gondola. Experience a romantic sunset cruise with sparkling wine and a cheese platter (exclusively for you). Cruise along the Murray River to the sounds of birds singing the evening son and view Renmark as night falls.
6:30pm Enjoy dinner in your villa or maybe experience the Renmark night life at the Renmark Club. Situated on the banks of the Murray River, the Club is an award winning venue with the best views in Renmark. Choose from locally inspired dishes and immerse yourself in Riverland culture.

9pm relax and let the adventures of the day wash over you while you sink into the warmth of the spa with a local port, wine or brandy in hand.

10am start today with a causal paddle through peaceful backwaters abundant with waterbirds. Canoe the Riverland, a tour and hire company, can assist you with a guided canoe tour or provide the equipment and information for a self-guided canoe. Glide through internationally recognised Ramsar listed wetlands and past some of the richest River red gum forests.

1pm enjoy a brew with a view at your lunch destination, the Woolshed Brewery. The historic woolshed, turned micro-brewery is situated on the banks of the Murray River and is a great place to soak up the Riverland lifestyle. Learn more about the brewery and their brews on a guided tour with the brewer and taste their large selection of craft beers, cider and lemonade with a tasting paddle. The Woolshed is a BYO food venue with BBQs available for guest use or build your own tasting plate with a range of local and SA produce.

3pm it’s been a whirlwind of a Riverland trip at now it’s time to say goodbye to your riverside haven but not before a quick stop at the most photographed location, Headings Cliff. A mere 10 minute drive along Murtho Road. Headings Cliff Lookout provides incredible views over the Murray River and expanding floodplains. The iconic red cliffs and long straight are a photographers delight, make sure you snap a selfie or two!
