Our aim at The Frames is to ensure you totally relax and immerse yourself in the luxury of your villa and in the unique environment of the Murray River.
It warms our hearts to see our guests so relaxed and happy during their stay and we love reading the reviews guests leave. Sometimes the reviews provide helpful insight for future guests, just like this one left on our TripAdvisor page, thank you VerveVim!
“Stayed in the villa “Collage” for 4 nights with my wife and it was a rejuvenating experience, a place to just relax and wile away the time.
Sunsets spent on the balcony were really good, peaceful and views over the Murray were fascinating especially with the changing colours as the sun set.
During winter, there was a true sense of serenity on the balcony as not many people were out on the water (if at all) from the caravan park across the river. We spent most afternoons out on the balcony rugged up cosily with our feet up watching the sun dip and the wildlife make their way back home.
The staff, including the owners, are very friendly albeit busy people and truly take care of you. Rick took us on our Gondola experience and was a wealth of info about the region and kept us regaled about the history of the place.
John took us to Rick and Cathy's farm and the taste of the mandarins and tangelos that we hand-picked from the trees was so much better than what you get at green grocers and supermarkets.
Nothing is too big a ask and requests are always accommodated given sufficient lead-time and even short notice requests are accommodated quickly.
The entire premises was spotless including cutlery and crockery, and surfaces in the bathroom and kitchen with the attention to detail truly fastidious. There are even a number of board games that were fun when it rained. Mind you, after the rain, John came in and dried the outside decks - a truly nice touch.
Breakfast provisions are generous and we could have survived on just those for the entire stay but that's not fun as the food options in Paringa and nearby Renmark are wonderful. We ordered the BBQ platter and the 3 course meal and it kept us fed for at least 3 main meals with the food being both delicious and fresh.
The audio/video system was good (1 TV with soundbar in living, another in bedroom and yet another in spa room plus iPod and iPhone docking systems, a tablet and networked hard-drive for movies) but we hardly used them as we decided to not use electronic devices while there.
You get a fully functioning kitchen and laundry (which is outside but the machines are big and can take large loads easily and detergents are provided) and we made full use of the amenities.
We intend to go back after a few years during late spring or early autumn and perhaps stay longer and explore the region further. Cannot recommend this place enough. Thanks Cathy and Rick and the team.
Room Tip: Choose the two bedroom Collage during winter to enjoy the hydro therapy spa inside the apartment just in case it gets too cold to go outside or is raining heavily.
Collage has the largest pool of the three and looks good and can be heated up to 30 degrees Celsius (even in winter - heating is through solar panels). Spent most of day 3 in the pool.
Montage is great during late spring, through summer and into early autumn as it has been designed with seclusion and couples in mind with all water features located outside (including the sauna).
Pastiche is great because it is the only apartment where the bedroom looks out over the river though views from all apartments of the river is awesome. In short there is no 'bad' room at The Frames - they are all great.”
